Boyi Cyma is an airsoft company that sells some nice midrange airsoft rifles and accessories. The prices seem to hover in the mid 100’s and that seems reasonable to me. I’ve not had a chance to personally review these airsoft guns but I’ve heard positive reviews from numerous users.
These guns put a lot of steel to use in their manufacture and this is always important for stability and longevity. It would be a terrible thing to fall on your airsoft gun and break it if was made out of weak plastic. This is much less likely with a good metal gun and Boyi Cyma aim to please in that respect. The main problem that I have with plastic is because I served overseas and I relate a weapons quality to its ability to withstand punishment. This is not such a serious problem when you’re dealing with pistols because you’re much less likely to be imposing your entire body weight on them.
I like that a large amount of the CYMA guns have had the AEG action installed. This makes for the perfect (and overstated if you read my other reviews) compromise of rate of fire and economic maintenance of these guns. The rate of fire is improved over a single shot spring gun and the AEG is improved in the economic maintenance part because you don’t have to run out and pay to refill your air every time it runs out. It is so much easier, and cheaper, to just buy extra batteries and keep them charged. Another advantage this carries is the fact that it’s much louder to try and refill air while hiding than it is to try to click in a new battery.
I am particularly fond of the Glock replica line because it seems to be a pretty faithful replica of the real steel gun. The guns chronographed out in the low to mid 200’s for fps. This is dependent on the weight of the bb you chose. It might also help to use a better bb than the ones usually found for free in most airsoft guns. If you get match grade then the seam is removed from the bb and it is a more uniform weight and that will naturally add to the inherent accuracy. When looking at these guns I don’t get too wrapped around the FPS because in airsoft all you have to do is have enough force for them to know they’ve been hit. That being said I would personally go with the heavier match grade bb’s to help my accuracy.
