Double Eagle Airsoft

Double Eagle is an airsoft company that makes guns for the lower end of the market.  As such their products are made mostly of plastic and shouldn’t be beat on too much.  They have no official website but I was able to track down the manufacturer’s information.  Assuming that what I found was true, and it must be since it’s on the internet, then Double Eagle airsoft guns are made and exported from Hong Kong by a company known as Fidragon Industrial CO.

The majority of them seem to be AEG and without referencing my other reviews too much I’ll just state that I prefer AEG over the other types of guns out there.  They have a good mix of long guns and hand guns and even though they are plastic they look ok to me.  I’ve heard a lot of complaints about the mag capacities and the rates of fire.

The general consensus seems to be that these are good short range back yard type guns but are not good at all for professionals or higher level competition.  The reviews are mixed but I don’t really hear a lot of people ruling this gun out completely which is a good thing if you were thinking about trying one.  I wasn’t terribly impressed with the pistol selection but I did find one interesting little fact about the Beretta M92 replica.  It is listed as having 3 modes of fire.

The selections available are Safe, Semi-Auto, and Full Auto.  I was shocked to find that they were offering full auto in an AEG pistol but I like the concept.  I’m not sure how useful it will be with the small capacity of the magazine but it is still a fun option to have.  Some of their weapons also come with (fake) silencers which are cool but I don’t recommend them while playing because they have been listed as too easy to break.  For me this would relegate them to display purpose only because even if it didn’t cost much I still don’t want to break it.

Overall the company seems to really enjoy what they do and they are having fun with it.  They may not make the top tier airsoft guns that some people have decided they can’t live without, but I think that their products are plenty good for a backyard fight with family and friends.
