RealSword is an airsoft gun manufacturer based out of Hong Kong. The selection of weapons if very limited but it seems to me that this is augmented by very good quality of the few weapons that they do currently produce. I saw the breakdown of their SVD airsoft sniper rifle and it looked amazingly detailed. They actually carve the wood out for the stock and hand guard to factory spec.
The rifles boast full steel construction except for the ones that are supposed to be polymer. Even the polymer rifles have steel inserts to add to their strength. I like that the sight actually takes time to research and present a small amount of pertinent information about the real weapon. It’s one of those little attentions to detail things that I still really like to see.
They actually state that part of their philosophy is that their product be indistinguishable from the real world weapon and they claim that they are acceptable for military weapons training. I can’t confirm this but if all that they say is true about their guns that I wouldn’t have a hard time believing it. RS also boldly boasts that their product can withstand the challenges of ANY environment. I would love to get my hands on one and see if this claim is true.
Another thing that impressed me is the actual individual serial numbers. They are marketing these guns as even being suitable for collecting. I’ve not seen this tactic in many airsoft guns but it’s not a bad idea. I stopped by the accessories category and they have some fairly useful accessories so it’s worth the stop by to check out.
The last thing that stuck out on the sight was the Upcoming Products section. This is a great idea in my opinion because I like to be kept informed of what a company is doing and when it should be expected. The current model in the RealSword production cycle is the RS Type 56-2 Tactical version and it looks nice. I’m impressed overall and I hope to see this company get bigger and start putting out more guns so we can benefit from their expertise on the airsoft subject.
