Tokyo Marui is widely known as one of the best airsoft companies around. I’ve heard mostly great reviews with few people saying that they are overrated. I’ve been very impressed myself with the very wide variety of offerings and the quality of all of the airsoft guns they make. They offer a lot of metal guns and that is preferable to plastic for a few good reasons.
The first and most important one is the stability. It’s very important that if you’re going to be running, and tripping, and falling and hopefully not too much digging, but it’s possible with a good enough fall. I can’t overstate how important this stability really is. This is the difference between staying in the fight and limping home with and airsoft shaped bruise in unfortunate parts of your stomach and a very broken gun.
Another really important part is the natural toughness of the metal internals. It’s of vital importance that you’re internals not break in the middle of a match or even during the practice you likely do to prepare. Simply put you need to have a working gun and you have to have it working at its peak. I very much like the accessories that Tokyo Marui puts out for their guns. I saw a very cool looking (fake) silencer and it will be plenty since you can’t really silence an airsoft gun that much more than just hearing air or a spring run. Of course there is also AEG but it’s not any louder and I’d dare say that it’s much quieter than air.
All of the genuine Tokyo Marui accessories seem to carry the same high quality and craftsmanship at the airsoft guns they make. This to me is a very good sign of a great company because it shows that they are not resting on their laurels with the great guns but have also branched out and made awesome accessories.
It’s also nice to know that it will all just work together because it’s all made by the same people. This is just my personal opinion but I really like the pistols, especially the Gas Blowback Glocks they make. They are licensed so they can look as realistic as they want to include the correct markings. This means something to me because it adds to the realism and I like that. It’s not important at all to quality but it’s cool to have the real feel and the looks of your favorite guns while playing and shooting friends without the unfortunate side effect of killing them.
