Airsoft Shotguns

Airsoft shotguns are kind of a unique thing because they are really only good for when you have to shoot someone really close up.  I’m not knocking them by any means.  I mean even in real life this is what most shotguns are made for.

The majority of the airsoft shotguns that I found were pump and this again isn’t really something that I can hold against them.  They are simple machines and that makes them simple to make and to operate.  This is noticeable in the price because none of the good ones I found broke seventy dollars and they do everything I would ever need and look great on top of that.  I did manage to find GBB shotgun and to be honest it sounded terrible in the best of ways.  I was amazed at how detailed and accurate it was and I should very much like to test one someday.  The groups looked good and the owner seemed very pleased.  As a word of caution that I usually forget to put in these reviews please, please, please wear some eye protection.

You might be able to aim a gun very well but with more than one bb coming out at one time it becomes nigh to impossible to predict where they will go.  This is complicated even more on an open field where the wind gets to play its tricks and make pellets go insane.  Ok now that I got that out of the way I’ll get back to the fun part and that is obviously shooting people.

These guns pack a punch and just like real shotguns even knowing that your opponent has one can deter you from wanting to mess with him.  If you happen to be the guy with the airsoft shotgun then you are in luck because the basic human psyche is working in your favor.  I would never recommend taking only a shotgun into a match because it can be a slow tedious task reloading them and it comes around far too often to try to do it throughout a match.

I’d recommend an airsoft shotgun if you know you need a backup and don’t wish to take a pistol, or if you just want a backup for your backup.  When all is said and done you’ll never put yourself at a disadvantage if you happened to bring a shotgun and needed to unleash its wrath on some poor unsuspecting person just asking to be pelted by a few well placed pellets.
